about us

Our heritage over 150 years

A.H. Tripp & Son Ltd has been carrying out professional removals since 1867, through five generations and a sixth in the wings. It all started with Arthur Hubert Tripp, who was by trade a blacksmith, then a Drayer and horse dealer. His son Hubert Tripp continued in his footsteps and began developing the business into haulage using a horse-drawn wagon as their first mode of transport.

By the end of World War I, Hubert’s son, Arthur Tripp, (shown leaning on the vehicle in the photograph above) had taken over the reins and the company was beginning to replace the horses with another type of horsepower, first using Model T Fords and then new Chevrolets. Mostyn Tripp worked with his father Arthur and took over the company after World War II.

In 1984, Mostyn’s son Kevin Mostyn Tripp became Managing Director, with Kevin’s son Benjamin Kevin Mostyn Tripp joining in 2007. Benjamin is now a Director and the Transport Manager. Samantha Marie Tripp joined in 2012 as Office/Accounts Manager and Company Secretary. Over the last 150 years, A.H. Tripp & Son Ltd has grown to become the area’s premier removal company, offering a friendly, professional and high-quality service.
